About the People:

Manager, owner and guide Sean Ross is a South African citizen with a University Degree in Journalism. He worked as a foreign correspondent for one of the world’s largest news organizations for 10 years, having been based in Johannesburg for seven years and in Oslo, Norway for three years. Having traveled extensively in over 35 countries including North, Central and South America, Africa, Eastern and Western Europe and Middle East he settled in Norway in 1999 before returning to South Africa in 2003 to start his tour company My South Africa Tour.

Mr Ross is a state registered tour guide having recently increased his competency to a Level 4 qualification in the category of Nature. He has a great love of nature and is especially interested in birds and birding. He was the co-editor of the Witwatersrand Bird Club Newsletter from 1995-1997 and has a Southern African bird list of over 600 and a world bird list of over 1,250 species.

Mr Ross is fluent in Norwegian and also holds a Professional Driving Permit, the state requirement for transporting paying passengers.

Manager and owner Beathe Langmo Ross is a Norwegian citizen. She first came to South Africa in 1994 and worked for three years in Johannesburg for People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) and for The Nationanl Institute for Crime Prevention and Rehabilitation of Offenders (NICRO). After traveling across South America for a year she returned to Norway in 1999 before re-establishing her base in South Africa in 2003 where she set up her company My South Africa Tour with her South African husband. She is a fond lover of people and of nature and has traveled extensively throughout South and Southern Africa.

Mrs Langmo Ross also holds a Professional Driving Permit, the state requirement for transporting paying passengers.
